We hear the crash, then examine what it did.
You felt fine at the scene and now your neck will not turn. That is ordinary after a collision, and it is a reason to get examined rather than a reason to wait.
What It Is
Most people walk away from a collision feeling shaken but basically fine. Then day three arrives. The neck won’t turn to check a blind spot. A headache sits behind the eyes. The low back locks getting out of the car. Adrenaline hides a lot at the scene, so “I felt fine” is the normal story, not a reason to skip the exam.
Auto injury rehab starts with finding out what the impact actually did. Whiplash and neck pain, the mid-back and rib soreness from the belt, a jarred shoulder, dizziness that comes and goes. Your neck gets tested for how it moves and what it tolerates, and we look at what’s guarding to protect it. Then we treat the cause and write down what we find, from the first visit forward. You’re one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every visit, so nothing about your case gets handed off.
Filing and waiting is not care. A claim number does nothing for a neck that won’t rotate. Stiffness left alone for weeks tends to settle in and stay. In New Jersey, injuries from a car accident are usually handled through no-fault coverage, also called PIP. Your benefits get verified before your first visit, so you know where you stand. Your documentation is written for the claim. The clinical work starts now, not when the paperwork catches up.

Questions, Answered
Yes, and feeling fine at the scene is the most ordinary thing in the world. Adrenaline masks neck and back injuries for a day or two. Whiplash symptoms often surface on day two or three, sometimes later than that. An early exam does two things for you. It catches what got hurt while it’s still easy to settle, and it puts your injury on the record from the start. Nobody regrets starting too early. Plenty of people regret waiting.
In New Jersey, car accident injuries are usually handled through no-fault coverage, also called PIP. Your benefits get verified before your first visit, so you know where you stand before anything begins. Your evaluation, your findings and your progress are documented for the claim, in plain clinical language. What your carrier or adjuster decides is their call, and we won’t promise you an outcome there. Our side of it is the clinical question: what got injured, and what it takes to fix it.
Neither is something you have to arrange before you call. If your plan or your claim requires a script, you’ll be told when your benefits are verified, before your first visit. Whether you want an attorney is a legal question and not our lane, so we won’t advise you either way on it. If you already have one, or an adjuster asking for records, your documentation is written clearly for them. Either way the clinical question stands: what got injured, and what it takes to move again.
